On Sunday, October 23rd The American Cancer Society is hosting “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer”, a 5K walk at Whitaker Bank Ballpark in Lexington.
If you are interested in joining our team and assisting in fundraising for this great cause then follow this link sign in, and select “Lexington Young Professionals Association” as the team you would like to join. Contact LYPA Vice President David Cupp if you have any questions.
Last year the American Cancer Society raised over $115,000 with 1400+ people (that was in the rain too!). This year, they are shooting for 2000+ people and hopefully $150,000 raised. The walk is truly about bringing together those who have passion for ending the pain and suffering from breast cancer, celebrating our survivors and raising money that goes back to breast cancer patient programs and research.
Join us in October for our networking happy hour at one of our favorite places – Lexington Beerworks – with some of our favorite people – Toyota Manufacturing’s Young Professionals group. We’ve joined with Toyota for this event to double the social and networking opportunities.
